This Saturday April 5, from 10am-2pm the UConn cycling team will be participating at the Skinner Road Elementary School bike rodeo for our mandatory comunity service project. All memebers who are free are required to attened this event. Weather you can or can not attend this event you must either contact Greg, Brendan, or email uconncycling@yahoo.com to let us know. When you talk to us we will discuss how we will get transportation to this event.

We will be having our first meeting of the semester this friday 1/25 at 8 in the Student Union. We will discuss the upcoming road season, licenses, and sponsor orders. Pleas bring the 4 forms that are linked on the homepage to the meeting. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

We will be having a meeting on Wednesday 12/5 at 7:00 PM in the student union lounge between rooms 219 and 216. Anyone that is planning on racing any of the road season during the spring should attend.

On Wednesday, November 14th, there is a mandatory Alcohol Awareness Workshop that everyone must attend. It starts at 7 in the EO Smith Auditorium. It will be an hour comedic presentation by Inspirational Comedian Bernie MaGrenahan. If 75% of our team doesn't go, we will not get funding! Let someone know if you can't go, see everyone there!

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
As many of you can tell I have recently updated the navigation menu to a new more interactive java based one. If you are haveing dificulties with it(i.e. you dont see a menu anymore, or it doesnt work properly) please e-mail me at uconncycling@yahoo.com right away so we can work through these problems. If problems do occure make sure your browser is up to date as well as your java(for a TEMPORARY fix go here just so you have the links). Also if you have any feedback, likes or dislikes about the menu change, or improvements you would like to see to the site please contact me with them. I am looking for any and all input. Another change that was made is how the 2007 mountain season pictues load in your browser, how do you guys like this, for the better or worse. One last thought I would like to leave you with is I think it might be time for a new banner. If any of you are handy with image editing and want to cook one up (I was thinking of something with a team picture) and send it my way, we could work together and possible make it our new banner at the top of the team site pages. Thank you, and I hope to be hearing from you soon.

Just a few updates and reminders. A few things have been added to the site that you might want to check out. The Lehigh downhill video is now up, along with pictures from all of our races that people have been adding (note if you have some pictures please add them), check them out. The rider bios that I have received have been added to the site as well.

-Dont forget we have a mandatory meeting for all Uconn Cycling members tomorow, Thursday at 7:00pm in the Student Union at our usual meeting place.
-All new members who did not send me their rider bios please do so by emailing me at uconncycling@yahoo.com with the information you would like to be posted. Please check out the current bios for the format.

There will be 2 mandatory meetings within the next 2 weeks for all members that will be racing this year. They will be held on Thursday 9/20 and Thursday 9/27 at 7:00 in our usual meeting place (first door on your right after entering the main entrance of the SU by the bus stop) The purpose of the meetings will be to hold nominations 9/20 and then elections the following week 9/27. Once this is taken up, the newly elected officers will draft a new constitution. Once the Draft is finished, we will ask for your input. The final draft will be voted on by you and if passed it will be instituted. Hope to see everyone there!

Members are reminded to attend the meetings required for the races that they plan on attending. Please let someone know ahead of time if you can't attend a required meeting. Registration for events will occur at the meetings, and if you don't let me know by the time of the meeting that you want to register, you will NOT be registered. The list of meeting dates can be accessed on the left menu on the home page.

I just updated the pictures and added a video to the site, check them out under the pictures page. Throughout the season I will be adding folders to our pictures for each race so that if you have pictures and want to share them they can be posted so that everyone can see them. If any members of the team have some cycling multi-media that they would like to be featured on the site such as videos or non race pictures you can contact me through uconncycling@yahoo.com and I will work with you to get them up here!
